What I know???

I was talking with my sister the other day about teenagers. It brought me back to my high school and college years. Man, I thought I knew it all and had life all figured out. Well, obviously I didn't!!! But, what has changed in the last 10-15 years? Not a lot... but I do know this:

I know that I can learn something from every person I encounter!
I know that over time, all thing can be healed... but it is my choice to allow them to!
I know that when I create something I feel like I'm putting to use a talent God gave me!
I know that my purpose here is to be Jeff's wife, Sadie & Tripp's mom and that it is wonderful!
I know that I have to work on my patience with everyone...
I know that my deep meaningful friendships brighten my soul!
I know that I should NOT keep score....
I know that people can change, by their choice... but I can not make that choice for them!
I know that by helping others, I'm showing God's love!
I know that I need to care less about what others think...
I know that each year of my life will pass faster than the one before, and to be honest, that terrifies me!
I know that Sadie and Tripp are God's and that he has granted me the privledge to be their mother!
I know that God made the perfect balance for me in Jeff!
I know that every blessing we have comes from the Lord!

Many people die with their music still in them. Why is this so? Too often it is because they are always getting ready to live. Before they know it, time runs out. - Oliver Holmes

These are the best kinds of weekends!

This weekend was fabulous! Friday night we got a sitter for the first time since we've lived in Brownwood. Usually either Nana or a friend will watch the kids when we have something, but we tried out a high school girl a friend of mine used and Sadie loved her! Jeff and I met a few other agency managers and their spouses and their district manager and his wife for dinner at Humphrey Pete's in Early. We had a great time talking with everyone! All of the manager that came have started within the last year and we can all relate to what is going on in our lives with adjusting to a new place. Two of the wives are pregnant right now and have daughters near Sadie's age.

Saturday, we woke up and took Sadie and Tripp to the donut shop and then drove around town. I don't know why exactly, but Jeff and I have always loved to drive around and look at houses. We've done it since we were dating! We then came home and around 11:00 went to the scrimmage at the stadium. Me and the kids didn't last long since it was brutaly hot!!! I drove up to an antigue to find a table for my sewing machines then went to pick Jeff up when he got too hot! I did find one and plan on sanding and painting it at night this week. We came back home, had lunch, had naps, then headed to Stephenville. Jeff's brother, wife, and 3 kids were moving back to Stephenville this weekend and so did my neice, Leandra. We went by helped a little bit, got a tour of both new places and then grabbed dinner at Montanas (our favorite Stephenville restaraunt). It was a zoo with 5 adults and 5 kids!!! But we loved it! On our way home, of course we stopped for a blizzard, got home, gave baths, then off to bed.

This morning, I woke up with an AWFUL tooth ache so I took a codine and Jeff took the kids to church so I could relax with no noise!

I feel so extremely blessed that we have so many family members only an hour away now! This is exactly why we took Jeff's job in Brownwood! We wanted the kids to grow up like I did, with family surrounding them!

My sweet little girl...

...and her Daddy!I realized I hadn't posted much new stuff about Sadie lately! Shame on me! She is so hillarious! She has become a little mommy and loves to take care of "Bubba Bear" and her babies. Her favorite thing, when not doing that, is to get on the computer with me and look at baby dolls and Farbies (Barbies). She has become a COMPLETE Monkey See-Monkey Do! Jeff told her you are a Beautiful Princess. Now she grabs blankets and wraps them around her, walks around the house and says, "I'm bootiful princess!" So cute! She begs to go to grandpa Norris' to see the goats and to go swimming. She loves his goats and calls the BIG goat the Daddy, the Medium is the Mommy, and the little ones are Sadie and Bubba goats. I'm so glad the Daddy is the Big one and not the Mommy! :) She is constantly asking, "What doing, Mommy?" I just love spending my days with her. We had orignally planned that she would start Mother's Day Out this year. But, I love watching her and Tripp play together at home and can't imagine not having here all the time with us. I feel that there will be plently of time later that she wont want to be around all the time, I better soak it up now! Maybe next year she can go... we'll see!
