Tripper is 3 months...

...Well he was a week and a half ago! Me and the kids spent that week up at my mom and Jim's helping them (as much as you can with 2 little ones) get ready and move into their new house. They are still in Keller, but bought a house that is in a better neighborhood on a large lot!!! Tripp turned 3 months while we were there on St. Patty's day! I know that he weighs around 14 lbs now and is sleeping great at night! Usually, he will sleep about 10-11 hours. Sometimes he wakes up and I give him a paci and he goes back to sleep. He is now smiling and laughing at everything. Sadie was a very easy and content baby, but Tripp seems even more so. He is so happy all the time and just grins from ear to ear! He also just loves talking to you... so cute! Whenever Sadie comes near him he just smiles and stares at her. And she really does love him! I hope they will be great friends as they grow! He has rolled over from belly to back, once! But, that is it! I think it startled him that he did it. I'm having a great time being his and Sadie's mommy!!!

"Life is an open book test. Are you using the right book?"

I saw this on a friend's facebook and it made me think about how we have all the answers we need right there in the Bible, yet we seek out so many other places. Not that anythings wrong with talking to friends and family, but did we ever think to look to God and His Word???

What a great weekend!

We had a wonderful weekend to say the least! BEAUTIFUL weather! All I wanted to do was be outside! Saturday we went to Stephenville for our cousin Corbin's 3rd birthday party! It was great to see Sadie play with everyone and to catch up with family! Not to mention, DeAnna had the BEST sugar cookies shaped like footballs. If you know me, you know those are my FAVORITE cookies! Afterwards we went and ate at Montana's in Stephenville. Once home we got the kids to bed and watched The Hurt Locker. It made me so thankful that there are people that want to do that and protect our freedoms!!!

Sunday, we woke up late (time change) then headed to Sunday School and church. Came home, had lunch, then naptime. After Sadie woke up, we went outside and she played with her new golf clubs... which she calls golfy! HAHA! The rest of the afternoon and evening was spent outside enjoying the weather, pulling weeds, mowing, grilling burgers, and eating burgers! I couldn't have asked for a better weekend!

Oh my goodness...

It just hit me while sitting here at the computer, my little girl is going to be 2 in less than 15 weeks!!! And now the tears start to well up in my eyes. I don't know why this is so tough for me! I was so excited about her turning one, nothing sad about it! But TWO???? Oh my gosh! Why is it affecting me like this? I guess its more of the fact that she is really growing up! At 1, I still had a baby girl. She didn't walk, just talked barely, didn't like "big people" food. But now... she can run, say just about anything, understands so much (she helped me make the bed yesterday), eats great, and knows so much! I'm afraid next time I blink she will be 12, then 16, the 25 and on and on! She's sitting next to meet coloring right now. I just love to watch her mind work as she does things. I asked her what is that Sadie and she replies, "dophin" (dolphin) with such certainty! I love it! Anyways... yes, I'm being a sap! Here is a picture of our little "bug"!

And one of our "bear" just for fun...

I CAN!!!!

"Experience life The worst thing that can happen is nothing. Though there is a risk of failure in any undertaking, there is a certainty of failure when you never even make the attempt. Each time you get hurt, each time you fall short of the mark, you add another excuse to your arsenal. But excuses won't bring anything of value to your life. They only make you more skilled at avoiding the abundant goodness that life has to offer. Forget the excuses. Stop worrying about failure. Life is yours to be lived. You'll gain nothing by hiding from it. The cold wind on your face may sting a little bit, yet it lets you know you're alive. Fill each moment with new experiences. Fill each day with effort directed toward a meaningful purpose. It sure beats hiding in the corner. Though you'll occasionally stumble, you'll be stumbling forward, and enjoying the abundant experience of being alive."

Jeff sent me this article this morning that he had passed to his agents. What perfect timing for me to see it. I'm walking in the Susan G. Komen 3 Day walk in November. Needless to say, walking 60 miles in 3 days is a little scary to me. Its funny, I used to run about 45 minutes every morning and was in great shape. 3 years and 2 children later, the idea of running 45 minutes is crazy. But, I want to be back to that! Not neccessarily the outward appearnce (thought that would be nice), but the idea that I can do it! I've hesitated signing up for it for a couple weeks. I was using the excuse that "what if I can't find someone to do it with me"? Well, a friend of mine has said she wants to, but even if she doesn't I AM DOING IT! I am also starting a blog to track my progress on training and fundraising. You can follow me at: Ali's 3Day

What a beautiful day!

Well, it is finally sunny and warm! Lets hope it stays that way!!! Today we had to drive to Stephenville for a doctor's appointment for Tripp. He ran a fever yesterday, isn't eating real great and is very congested. Turns out, just a cold! Thats great!!! But, I feel stupid for taking him in, but it did give us an excuse for a day trip. Sadie did great at the doctor's office. She just loves Dr. Miller. Climbed right up into her lap when she came in and wanted to "help" check Tripp out with all her doctor tools. It was pretty cute! Then we went to Walmart to get fabric for their Easter outfits. I'm attempting to make them myself this year, with my mom's embroidery of course. They are matching, but not? Does that make sense? Then we went to McDonald's and Sadie and I split some nuggets and fries... It was so fun. On our way home, Sadie and Tripp both crashed and I sang my heart out to all my IPod songs! After we got home, we stayed outside and let Sadie dig in the rocks while Tripp played in his car seat. Now, inside while dinner is cooking. GREAT day!

"Just Sadie" Night!

We've decided that everynow and then we need to do something with just Sadie to make her feel special. When Tripp gets older we will do it with both of them. This time we were going to Keller to drop the kids off at my mom's house while we were in Rockwall for Jeff's awards weekend. It just so happened that Sesame Street Live was starting that night. Sadie "LOVES Sesame Street. She will bring me the remote and say "stweet"? So cute! Anyways.... so Thursday we packed up and left for my mom's. We got Tripp situated (he went to aerobics with my mom). Then we headed for Nokia Theater. One the way we stopped at Jason's Deli. When we lived in Frisco we ate there almost weekly. When we were walking up to Nokia, Sadie was already since that something was going on. She saw the thousands of other kids and started saying "YEAH"! We walked in and there were counters to buy stuf, of course! We got Sadie a little Zoe doll and t-shirt. She kept saying "soey, soey, soey" as we sat in our seats waiting, well Sadie wasn't doing much of the sitting. Once it started she sat VERY still and danced and sang and clapped! She had a great time!!! Worth every penny! When it was over we got her in her pj's and she zonked out on the car ride back to Mimi and Poppy's house.
