Tripp is 6 months old!

How is it possible? Has it really already been 6 months? Time is going by way too fast! Tripp is such a happy little baby! He just laughs, smiles, and squeals all the time! Sadie is STILL is favorite! He loves playing in his excersaucer and rolling around on the ground. He has a ball that has got to be his favorite toy! He is eating, and liking, all his fruits and veggies. Dr. Miller said go ahead and go up to stage 2 and starts Puffs and Yogurt Melts. So far, they are a hit! He is sleeping 12 hours at night and takes 3 1.5-2 hour naps a day! Most of time he will take his afternoon nap while Sadie takes hers... great for me!!! He can stand holding onto things for a little bit, same with sitting. He is trying to crawl, but doesn't understand that he needs his arms to go with him. It usually ends with a face plant! We are just loving watching him grow and learn new things, and his personality bloom!
He now weighs 16 lbs. 13 oz. and is 26 1/4 in long.

What a fabulous weekend!

Jeff and I were talking on the way home LATE last night about how wonderful our weekends have been lately! Let me back up first, Thursday was my BIG 3-0! We went to Abilene to shop at Target for some sun dresses for our trip to Austria (we leave in 3 days!) and then dinner at Oliver Garden. We stopped on our way home for a blizzard! I have done so well on losing my weight lately, was only 3lbs away from pre baby!!! But, then after this weekend I've got some more work to do :( Oh well, anyways... Then Friday I was busy doing last minute details and cleaning for Sadie's birthday party. My mom and Jim came in that evening and we cooked burgers outside. Mom and Jim got me a drill for my birthday!!!! I'm so excited! Jeff has asked me what is the first thing I'm going to do? Well... we shall see when we get home from Austria! Then Saturday we woke up and it was WORK WORK WORK! Sadies' party was a BLAST! Afterwards, we ordered pizza and watched tv after the kids went to bed. Sunday, our normal routine of getting ready and heading to church. The nursery was packed and LOTS of crying babies, including Tripp! Weird, I know! I think he was just exhausted! So we left after Sunday school, came home, ate lunch, napped and then headed to Grandpa Norris and Grammy's house to celebrate all our wonderful Fathers!. I'm really enjoying living so close to Jeff's side of the family. Don't get me wrong, I miss mine not being just an hour away, but its nice Sadie getting to be close to her great grandparents. She loves swimming at their house and playing with the goats. Some more cousins came over, Kyra is a year older than Sadie and Rylie is about 6 or 7 weeks older than Tripp. When we finally got home is was straight to bed! We really are blessed beyond anything we deserve!

Sadie's 2nd birthday party!

We are blessed with so many great friends and family! We had Sadie's birthday party today at our house. The house was decked out in black, yellow, and red with Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Mimi and I made her a dress and Daddy got her Mickey Mouse ears to wear! Her and her friends and cousins played, then we ate, had cake, and opened presents! She was inthralled with everything she got! When we sang "happy birthday" to her, she was so happy and knew exactly what to do with the candles, as if she'd been doing it every day! It really was a fun day!!! And... thank you so much Aunt Krysta for taking all the pictures!!!
Our front door... an "S" for Sadie... should have got a better picture!

Some of her presents and goodie bags

The food and cake

Blowing out her candles

Stealing some icing!!!

Playing with friends & cousins, and opeing up presents!

What is Sadie up to at 2? Well, she now weighs 24. 5 lbs (little thing) and she is 34.5 in tall (tall thing)! She is talking in most complete sentences, but then there will be a sentence and I have NO clue what she said! She LOVES to sing! Some of her favorites are Itsy Bitsy Spider, Twinkle Twinkle, Jesus Loves Me, and You Are My Sunshine. She's still really into books, puzzles, and LOVES the little people. She is playing pretend quite a bit too. Its so funny to watch her play mommy! Oh, and she has definitely learned the idea of ownership!!! "Thats mine, Bubba!" Whenever we pull up to stores, restaruants, Blockbusters, etc... she will tell you exactly what you get at those places! Hillarous! She also is loving swimming. We start swimming lessons next week!!!! Where did my baby go????

Our kitchen!!!

Here are the before pictures:
And after:
I'm pretty proud of myself. I did almost all of the work by myself! I just had to have the countertops installed! My mother-in-law and I found the cutest table at a antique store in Granbury. The base of the table is a VERY old Singer sewing table! The top is red. I wasn't sure about the red, but now that it is in the kitchen I LOVE IT. Now, I want to find a set of red canister (never got a set, because I can't find exactly what I want... I will though). We were going to reuse our sink, but then Jeff decided it would look better with a stainless and that the walls would look better this brown color. I love the way the paint makes the molding pop and I acree with the sink. The faucet is one that we had bought about 4 years ago to replace at our house in Celina, but never did. And the disposal was broke, so I learned how to install a new one! The backsplash was what I was most excited/nervous about and I think it turned out GREAT!!!! And, easy! We are going to install the same tiles on the celining in the dining room above the molding to tie the two rooms together! For the most part, I am done in the kitchen. Trying to decide if I want a kitchen island under the pot rack or do I just want to remove the pot rack?!?! Hmmmm.... Also, I want to find some unique antiques to go above the cabinets and some garland. Oh... and I bought canvas to make curtains with red tie backs! Next project, either ripping out the carpet in the sunroom/office and staining the concrete or framing the bathroom mirrors!
