I went in for an induction Tuesday morning and everything was going great... Frisco Baylor Hospital is AMAZING! If anyone is looking for a good hospital, I HIGHLY recommend them! Anyways, about 4 p.m. I was dialated to a 4, 5 p.m. I was dialated to a 5, and by 6 p.m. I was at a 7. We started placing bets that I would have her by 10 p.m. The dr. told me to let them know if I was feeling any pressure or urge to push. Well, by 9 p.m. or so there was none of that and I had developed a low grade fever. They checked me and I had and regressed to a 5. I wasn't feeling well and they said they had to do a c-section. I was completely OK with that by that point. Nervous, but ok! I asked if it was because of the induction. She reassured me that no, it will be the way I will have labor everytime... just my body. Anyways... by 10:32 we had a beautiful baby girl! She weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz. and was 20 1/2 in long. She, of course, lost a little weight. But she also was jaundice... we will find out on Wednesday if that has cleared up completely.
We came home from the hospital on Saturday evening. I was SO ready! The first night was hard. Jeff was afraid to put a little blanket on her and thought she was hot. She kept waking up every so often. Finally, about 4 a.m. I put one on her anyways... and low and behold... she slept. Last night was great! She slept for 3 hours, ate, slept for 3 more, and then ate again. I think I ended up with a full 7 hours of sleep! I was saying lots of thank yous to God!
We are so much in love with her! I can't believe it! I know people always told me how wonderful it is... but you can never understand it until you are there! She has really completed our family! Jeff is so cute... he just adores her! He keeps saying there is nothing like having a little girl or can you believe how beautiful she is??? I love it!

Last blog before Sadie comes...
I'm sure that tomorrow I will be SO crazy thinking about and getting ready that I wont post anything so here is my last day to blog before becoming a mother... and watch out, I'm super emotional right now! :)
Jeff took me to the Gaylord Friday! I was impressed because he got home from work at exactly 12:00 p.m. and we jumped in the car and headed to Grapevine. We met my sister to drop off Romo with her, he was staying the night at her house while we were gone. Then we had lunch at Quiznos and headed to the hotel. I'm not sure what got into Jeff, but he upgraded our room (he hates to spend $) to a view of the indoor firework show for the night. Then we walked around for awhile and looked at everything. We found the cutest store for kids. Side note, we have now realized that Sadie will NEVER be able to get anything in a store with her name on it! Then we went to Grapevine Mills Mall and Jeff got me some clothes and stuff and just enjoyed walking around. I say enjoyed... that is not something we ever do, so I faked that I was not hurting. My feet were HUGE by the time we left! We came backt o the room, napped, and then got ready for dinner. We had found earlier this area that looks alot like San Antonio Riverwalk. The riverwalk is a special place for Jeff and I. We usually go quite a bit... I think last summer we went 2 or 3 times. But this summer, we wont make it. So, that was neat. We ate dinner down there and then walked around some more. At 9:30 we went up to our balcony to watch this amazing fireworks show.... it only lasted 4 minutes! HAHAHA! Oh well! That night/morning the girls staying next door came home at 2:30 a.m. and were so loud. The next morning we woke up and went to pick up Romo from my sister. We had lunch with all of them, since she wont be able to be at the hospital on Tuesday. She will be having major surgery of her own!
The rest of the weekend we have been finishing up stuff around here. We got the car cleaned and installed the car seat. We have been cleaning house, doing laundry, packing our bag. That kind of stuff.
I'm so excited about being a mommy. I've wanted this for so long and now that it is coming I'm so overjoyed! I can't imagine how much I will love her and how much my world is about to turn upside down... but all for the good! I'm blessed with such an amazing husband that I know will stand by me and to see what God is blessing us with just blows my mind. If any mothers have any words of wisdom... I'd love to hear it!
I'll post pictures when we get back from the hospital, if I can ever stand to step away from her side!

Cutest flip flops.... EVER!

Sorry Rachel... I stole this from your page! These are so cute! You have to go to http://www.designsbytheheart.com/ and look what they have. I'm already getting my order ready!!!!
New exciting things...
Well, at lest to me it is.
Jeff called me from work today. He is in the rotary club here in town. Currently, they are working on a project with the boy scouts to do a flag program with all the communities in town. Jeff is working with our home owners association since we live here. Long story short, the guy told him today that they are thinking about redoing the monthly newsletter (IT NEEDS HELP!) and that it cost too much to keep it going. Well, Jeff was asking what if he advertised in it? Then that could help pay for the cost. They also started talking about other ideas for revamping it. One was adding recipes to the newsletter. Jeff mentioned that I was a home ec. teacher for 5 years and LOVE to cook and that I was wanting to get involved with our home owners association. So, this is something I am hoping will all pan out!
For those of you that don't know, I am involved with a cooking club that meets once a month. I'm hoping that we keep it up. My friend, Tawny, and I are the ones that kind of got it started. But... she is moving next month to San Antonio and I'm hoping that it will keep going. We take turns at someones house every month. Whoever is hosting plans the theme for that month. We've don't Cinco de Mayo, Italian, at my house we did Super Bowl finger foods. Kind of whatever might go with that month. Its really fun! We each bring a dish prepared and copies of the recipes and sit around and eat and talk! Its a great way to meet new people in the area as well. Every month we have a few regulars and then some newbies. If anyone's interested, let me know! We would always love to have new people!
Anyways.... you can tell I'm home, bored, and so ready to have this baby. If all I can think to do is blog about this kind of stuff :) We go to the doctor tomorrow morning at 9:15 to make sure we are still on schedule for the induction next Tuesday! I've started scaring myself to death about labor. I don't know why I'm so terrified... women do this every day! I DON'T, though! Jeff is taking me to the Gaylord Texan Friday night to celebrate my birthday, which was yesterday, and our anniversary, which is on the induction date. Maybe that will help me get things off my mind... doubtful, but still sweet of him!

Last Baby Shower
Our Sunday School class threw me and Martha, a girl that is due right after me, a joint baby shower. We are both having girls so it was really fun! The girls from class did such a great job! They are so sweet. SOme of us couples went to Chipotle after class, before the shower... not a good choice. We sat outside, because the inside was packed! Do you know what that does to a pregnant lady??? I was COVERED in sweat by the time I got to my shower... you will see in the pictures! But... the food was GREAT as always!! The shower was so neat. They made a dvd of both of our husbands answering numerous questions. It was so cute... I can't wait for Sadie to be older and to get to show her what all Jeff said... honestly, I teared up a little! I'm hormonal! Then we got some of the cutest things! We got books, toys, clothes, the cutest pink and green soccer ball (I played soccer growing up). Oh, which Romo decided to DESTROY the second I got home and wasn't looking. I can tell there will be issues with toys laying around the house. Does anyone have advice on this subject? After we finally got home, I was welcomed to my new bedroom furniture and the TV was moved to the bedroom! LOVE IT! Nothing is better than laying on the bed, with ALL 3 fans blowing on me, watching the tube!!! Anyways... here are a few pictures from the shower!

Oh, I almost completely forgot, today marks the last day of teaching for me for awhile... Jeff said, "You're officially a housewife." YEAH!!!
