Dr. visit

We had my first Dr. visit last week with Dr. Bailey! I just love her! It was so weird to be back in there already and to have Sadie with us. We got to see Baby #2 and hear and see the little heart beat! I have a strong feeling it is a boy. I told Jeff the day I found out I was pregnant with Sadie, she was a girl. Who knows though! I really, honestly, don't care either way! It would be great for Sadie to have a little sister, but a boy would be lots of fun too! The visit went great. My due date is Jan. 3, but I will have a c-section on Dec. 22 or 23. We will decide the actual date closer to time. I had to have a c-section with Sadie, due to complications. Dr. Bailey said that those sorts of complications, tend to repeat themselves. I'm completely fine with it! This time, I will have a day of beauty (I'll tell Jeff that later) right before, and then when I go in, there wont be all that waiting around and pain. It will be go in and get it done! I recovered very quickly after my c-section with Sadie. So hopefully I will again!

11 months

It feels like just yesterday I blogged about Sadie turning 10 months... where does the time go!? Sadie turned 11 months on Sunday. We had a great day! A few Farm Bureau friends came over and we cooked out! I completely forgot to take pictures! I am so thankful for the friendships we have made through Jeff's work. Truly, these people have become our second family! Anyways... before everyone came over, we worked on the patio. We built a swing and got a few plants and 2 more chairs. My sister's in-laws, who I've known as my own family since I was 9, gave Jeff and I a great patio set when we got married. We love it! Sadie loved playing with all the kids. She is a bit of a bully to the kids younger than her (watch out Peanut Whitt). But loves watching the kids older than her! Sadie is now standing on her own... still unsure of herself, but she can do it. I caught her standing perfectly fine holding onto a pair of shoes. I think she thought she was holding onto the bookshelf or something like that. She walks holding onto one hand! Sadie now has 6 teeth and is working on cutting 2 more on bottom, which has been rough! She will now eat cheerios, puffs, yogurt melts... but that is about it. I will put something on her tray for her to try and usually it ends up on the ground for Romo to eat. If you try to put it in her mouth for her, she fights it and then gags... even if it is only on her lip! I think we have a bit of a drama queen! :)

Her stats are:
Just under 19 lbs and 29 1/2 in. long. Still skinny and long!

Sick little girl

Still trying to flash me a smile when she doesn't feel good!!! POOR THING!

For the past week Sadie has been pretty sick... finally her doctor gave her antibiotics on Wednesday. I think she could tell that if she told me to give her Benadryl one more time I would flip. No one in our house had slept from Sunday to Wednesday. She is finally starting to feel tons better and sleeping like an angel again!!! I had a little bit of a melt down Tuesday thinkg, "how in the world will I do this with 2 children?" I kept saying, "I can't, there's no way!" After lots of comforting from Jeff, my mom, and my sister... oh and sleep again, I realize, I can... God would not have blessed us with another child, if I couldn't. I truly feel so sorry for mom's who have to do it alone!

My First Mother's Day with Sadie was great. Jeff went and got big and the blankets, then we laid around the house most of the morning and then went into town to get me a new pair of boots. We were going to go to Jason's Deli, but it was packed so we drove around trying to find somewhere that wasn't so crowded... we ended up at KFC. After lunch we went to the grocery store and then came home. About that time we realized Sadie was running a fever... her Mother's Day was not so great :(

Yumm!!! Sgetti!!!

The other night I made spaghetti for dinner and let Sadie try it. She can chew just fine, but would MUCH rather eat baby food still. But, suprisingly, this went over well!!!

Big News!!

Sadie is going to be a Big Sister!!!

NYC Cont.

NYC

We had the best time in New York! It was so great to see friends we don't get to see very often... and make new ones! I made sure to take full advantage of every day. We usually didn't go to sleep until 2 a.m. and still woke up by 8:00 and walked around, did tons of site seeing... and even went to Canal St. (which I will NEVER do again). My mom gave me some $$ to get us purses. So I followed one lady down a back alley, into her store (which she locked behind me) and then into a back closet (which they also locked). I couldn't handle it so I picked 2 purses quick and then tried to leave... but NOPE! They wouldn't let me go for a little while. I thought I was goind to flip out! Other than that, the entire trip was a blast! We saw Wicked on Broadway! AWESOME! Loved it! But Jeff has never seen Wizard of Oz, so he didn't understand some of the jokes in it. We also got on Letterman!! And you could actually see us on tv if you happend to have watched it that night! The last day my sleep deprivation caught up to me as we were taking the ferry out to see the Statue of Liberty! I was exhausted! On Wednesday I was so excited to get home and see my littl buggy! She met us, with my mom and Jim, at the airport! I missed her so much!
