New exciting things...

Well, at lest to me it is.
Jeff called me from work today. He is in the rotary club here in town. Currently, they are working on a project with the boy scouts to do a flag program with all the communities in town. Jeff is working with our home owners association since we live here. Long story short, the guy told him today that they are thinking about redoing the monthly newsletter (IT NEEDS HELP!) and that it cost too much to keep it going. Well, Jeff was asking what if he advertised in it? Then that could help pay for the cost. They also started talking about other ideas for revamping it. One was adding recipes to the newsletter. Jeff mentioned that I was a home ec. teacher for 5 years and LOVE to cook and that I was wanting to get involved with our home owners association. So, this is something I am hoping will all pan out!

For those of you that don't know, I am involved with a cooking club that meets once a month. I'm hoping that we keep it up. My friend, Tawny, and I are the ones that kind of got it started. But... she is moving next month to San Antonio and I'm hoping that it will keep going. We take turns at someones house every month. Whoever is hosting plans the theme for that month. We've don't Cinco de Mayo, Italian, at my house we did Super Bowl finger foods. Kind of whatever might go with that month. Its really fun! We each bring a dish prepared and copies of the recipes and sit around and eat and talk! Its a great way to meet new people in the area as well. Every month we have a few regulars and then some newbies. If anyone's interested, let me know! We would always love to have new people!

Anyways.... you can tell I'm home, bored, and so ready to have this baby. If all I can think to do is blog about this kind of stuff :) We go to the doctor tomorrow morning at 9:15 to make sure we are still on schedule for the induction next Tuesday! I've started scaring myself to death about labor. I don't know why I'm so terrified... women do this every day! I DON'T, though! Jeff is taking me to the Gaylord Texan Friday night to celebrate my birthday, which was yesterday, and our anniversary, which is on the induction date. Maybe that will help me get things off my mind... doubtful, but still sweet of him!

Last Baby Shower

Our Sunday School class threw me and Martha, a girl that is due right after me, a joint baby shower. We are both having girls so it was really fun! The girls from class did such a great job! They are so sweet. SOme of us couples went to Chipotle after class, before the shower... not a good choice. We sat outside, because the inside was packed! Do you know what that does to a pregnant lady??? I was COVERED in sweat by the time I got to my shower... you will see in the pictures! But... the food was GREAT as always!! The shower was so neat. They made a dvd of both of our husbands answering numerous questions. It was so cute... I can't wait for Sadie to be older and to get to show her what all Jeff said... honestly, I teared up a little! I'm hormonal! Then we got some of the cutest things! We got books, toys, clothes, the cutest pink and green soccer ball (I played soccer growing up). Oh, which Romo decided to DESTROY the second I got home and wasn't looking. I can tell there will be issues with toys laying around the house. Does anyone have advice on this subject? After we finally got home, I was welcomed to my new bedroom furniture and the TV was moved to the bedroom! LOVE IT! Nothing is better than laying on the bed, with ALL 3 fans blowing on me, watching the tube!!! Anyways... here are a few pictures from the shower!
Oh, I almost completely forgot, today marks the last day of teaching for me for awhile... Jeff said, "You're officially a housewife." YEAH!!!

Doctor Update

I had my 2 week visit today. Last time I went the doctor told me I was measuring at 33 weeks... which if I can do math, 2 weeks later I should be 35 weeks. NOPE! When I was there today she told me I am measuring 34 weeks! AAGGGHHH!!! Anyways, I have to be thankful that she said everything is looking great and I will go back in 2 weeks. Maybe next time I will be measuring 37 weeks ;) Doubtful though! I haven't put up belly pics lately! Feast your eyes upon this belly!!!

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great weekend! Jeff came home from his work trip to Bilouxi at about 2:30 Friday morning and we slept in for quite awhile. Then we went to lunch and went to the movies. I hadn't been in so long. We saw What happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas... it was AWFUL! Then we came home and went to the pool. Yes, I got a swimsuit and waddled out to the pool. Talk about a self-confidence buster! Around all these high school girls! Oh well! Saturday we went shopping, rented some movies, grilled out, and enjoyed the outside! Sunday we went to church then our class from church had a get together. Monday Jeff took me to get a new bedroom set at The Dump. If you have never been there... GO!!!! Its great! We got a king size bed! I'm so excited, it will be here Saturday! I always said I don't need anything bigger than a queen. After 2 years of being married to a man that wants to sleep sprawled out, I've changed my mind! Now, I HAVE :) to go get new bedding!!! YEAH!

Today I had Jury duty... this belly came in handy in getting me out of it! So, 3 more school days this week! I think I can handle that! Oh, and the last day, NO SENIORS! Thats great, considering I have almost ALL seniors in most of my classes! It WILL be a great week!

Long time, no post!

Oh my goodness! I didn't realize how long it had been since I posted anything! Well, there are only 2 weeks and 1 day of school left... I'm so ready!!! As soon as we are done with school we will be waiting for Sadie to get here! At my last visit my doctor moved up the due date to July 3rd... but said we will probabluy induce about 10 days early! YEAH! So, that means, Jeff and I are busy busy getting everything done!

We got a sneak preview of playing mommy and daddy this past Sunday. Not on a human, but our little Romo. We went for a walk in the neightborhood Sunday evening and walked a different route than usual (mistake #1). We were walking by a fence and Romo was barking at the 2 dogs that lived there... like dogs usually do! I was up ahead of Jeff and Romo was in between both of us. He ran up around the corner of the fence. There was a hole that the dogs had dug out before. Not a big hole, just big enough for a dog's mouth to get under it. One of the dog's bit the snot out of Romo's face. Jeff and I ran to the house near by where a couple was outside. They gave us some paper towels and I gave Romo my water to clean his face a little bit. The dog bit through Romo's lip (about 1 cm long) and then the other side of his mouth was just scratched up. He finally quit bleeding so bad and then spent the rest of the evening laying in my arms. After 3 days of recovery, he's doing LOTS better! He's a little moppy, but nothing major! Needless to say, we wont be going the "new" route anymore!
