Happy Easter!

We had a great first Easter with Sadie! She woke up Sunday morning and snuggled in bed with us for a little bit. Then we showed her the basket the Easter Bunny brought her! She took a little while to look it all over, but then dove right in to playing with it all. She got a little bat and bals, a bummy, some Easter Pez, and a book of the Easter story.

Then we did our usual Sunday morning routine and headed to church. Our sermon was GREAT, as usual! After church, Jeff, me, Sadie, and Nana, went to my sister's house for lunch with Shannon, Steve, Leandra, Patrick, Mimi, and Poppy. Steve cooked brisket and beans! YUM! We watched the Masters, of course, and sat around and talked. By the time we got home, Sadie was exhausted and ready for bed... as we all were! It was a great day!

Our little fish!

We were in West Texas a few days ago and stayed in a hotel with a heated indoor pool. I was so excited because that meant Sadie would get to go swimming for the first time. I figured she would like it because she LOVES her bath time. Sure enough... it was a HUGE hit! She kept splashing and laughing at the water. She wanted to drink to too! I can't wait for summer to get here.... we will have a blast!

We have conquered the straw!

Yeah! Last night we went to Lucy's for dinner and Sadie was reaching for Jeff's straw, as usual. She has never been able to make anything come up... but this time was different! She got a big sip!!! YEAH!!! Big Girl!

9 month Stats!

I feel like I just did a post over her turning 8 months! Time is TRULY flying by!

Sadie had her 9 month check up yesterday! Dr. Mehendale said she is doing GREAT! Very active and she was impressed with how much Sadie could do. Sadie was point to her ring (haha, watch out Jeff, Sadie likes diamonds... I guess thats more of a warning to her future husband... anyways) and Dr. M said, "WOw, I usually don't ask about pointing until her year visit!" YEAH Sadie!

We feel so blessed that we have such a healthy, happy little girl!

Her stats were:
Head: 17" (45%)
Height: 28 3/4" (75%)
Weight: 17 lbs 14 oz (15%... but she wasn't worried. Sadie had been teething and not eating well for about a week. She now has 2 top and 2 bottom.)

Sadie is doing better on chewing, but doesn't really like the Stage 3 foods, so she gave me suggestions on making stage 3 foods out of what I'm cooking for dinner!

Even with Sadie only weighing just under 18 lbs. She is getting close to growing out of alot of her 6-9 month clothes (must be her height). I went and looked at clothes for her today and it made me a little sad that next time we buy her clothes it will be in the toddler section! BOY, IT FLIES BY!

Here are some pictures I took of her!

Pulling up!

Sadie has started pulling up... onto EVERYTHING! I was doing the dishes this morning and she pulled up to the TV... luckily TV is MUCH higher up. BUT, the surround sound is at Sadie height! She kept turning it on and off and twisting all the knobs... UHOH!

A few weekends ago, Jeff and I went to the resale shop (BEST place to get kids toys!) and found this for Sadie.

(If you are wondering... that is Sadie laughing!!!)
She LOVES it! First thing in the morning after she eats her breakfast she makes a mad dash for it and starts playing. Its so cute. She learned to open and close the fridge door on it and now does it to every door in the house. Lets hope she doesn't learn to SLAM the door when she gets older and is mad at us!

My mom made Sadie this little onesie! So cute!!!

Don't you just LOVE that face!!!

Little Gym!

We took Sadie to Little Gym with our playgroup yesterday. She had a BLAST! It was a free trial class. Jeff and I want to get her into some kind of class at 10 months. We were talking about either Little Gym or MyGym. So it was perfect that we had a free class. As much fun as she had, we probably will be going to MyGym... more convient and more bang for your buck, not to mention cheaper! But she did have fun. They did songs and activities in a group circle. We had a big parachute and put all the kids in the center and walked around... I was nervous about that, but it was a HIT! Then they did free play and showed us activities to do with them depending on their skill level. Janna and Peyton were there. Sadie follows Peyton all over the place.

They had a bubble machine that shots bubbles out everywhere and let them play with some of the music toys.

So fun!
