1st Solids

Tripp is now eating solids. We started last week with cereal and this week with green beans. He does a lot better with the green beans than with the cereal. He will clinch his mouth shut with the cereal! The first taste of green beans I put on his mouth, he gave me a look like what are you doing??? Then he did pretty good!

Tripp is 4 months old!

We went to Tripp's 4 month appointment today and he is now:
14 lbs 8 oz. (50-75%)
25.25 in long (50-75%)
and I can never remember this measurement but is head is in the 25-75%.

Dr. Miller said he is doing great! The only thing is we have to keep watch of his flat side on his head. If, when we go back in June, it hasn't fixed itselft Tripp will be measured for a helmet to wear to correct it.
Tripp is now rolling over all the time! He even tries to while I hold him on my lap. He prefers to be on his belly while he is playing! He still smiles like crazy and LOVES to laugh at everything. I gave him his elephant toy in his carseat today while we drove to the dr. office and he kept laughing very loud at it. Its so great! He loves Sadie and Jeff!!! He loves to watch them rough house and you can tell he wants to get in the middle of it! He is sleeping GREAT!!!! Usually down at 8:00 after his bed bottle, then up at 7:30. He still naps 4 times a day and you can tell when he is ready, thats usually the only time he's fussy. He is teething, you can feel the tooth cutting through, but its not here yet... teething tablets are a staple in this house right now!!! This morning we tried cereal for the first time. He didn't hate it, but you could tell he had no idea what to do with it. We'll keep practicing!

A Careful Woman

"A careful woman I ought to be:
A little girl follows me;
I do not dare to go a stray
For fear she’ll go the self-same way.
I cannot once escape her eyes;
What’re she sees me do, she tries.
Like me, she says, she’s going to be,
The little girl who follows me.
She thinks that I am good and fine,
Believes in every word of mine;
The bad in me she must not see,
The little girl who follows me.
I must remember as I go,
Through summer’s sun and winter’s snow,
I am building for the years to be,
For a little girl who follows me."

Texas Rangers Opening Day

Happy Easter everyone!

We had such a fun filled Easter weekend planned. Friday, Jeff's office was closed so he spent some time with us at home and that afternoon his mom came and brought the kids Easter baskets. We all went to dinner at Underwood's. The next morning we were busy getting ready to go to Stephenville for our family Easter Egg Hunt at the Powell's house. Jeff's mom was great and washed the sink of dishes for me (my dishwasher is out and, long story, wont be repaired for a few more weeks). Then we loaded up the car, dropped off a birthday gift at Corrine's 1st birthday party, stopped by Sonic for a drink... then SHOULD have been on our way. Well, Jeff had been saying his throat hurt, so I said let me look. Sure enough, his throat looked like strep throat. So, we stopped at the minute clinic and 45 minutes later were on our way to pick up a prescription for Jeff. Sunday we didn't go to church, because I wasnt feeling well. By lunchtime We were both doing better and hid Easter eggs for Sadie. We had 124 eggs filled for the egg hunt on Saturday. She had a lot of fun and then we grocery shopped.
