Oh my... where has the time gone???

I just realized I haven't posted in some time! And to be honest, I've been awful at taking pictures!! Last week for Spring Break/St. Patrick's Day, the kids and I went and stayed a few days in Keller. We did some shopping, way too much eating, played with the Hurst's kids, had lunch with my niece, spent the day with Chicher (my sister), dinner with the Hursts and a last minute stop on the way home to see Decker! We had a great week! Saturday finished it off with Tripp and Daddy going in one car and Sadie and I stopping at Hobby Lobby and letting her pick out fabric and ribbon to make a "princess dress". We enjoyed just some girl time!
Here are some pics of the kids on St. Patrick's day in the shirts Mimi made them:

On our way to see Channing and Jaxson... someone is VERY excited!

Playing school

The night before Sadie was supposed to start school she wanted to play school with her babies and Daddy. She had them all lined up in her "classroom" as she read them a story. Tripp was the class clown that wouldn't cooperate for the teacher ;)

S'mores... YUM!

A few Sundays ago, we had a beautiful day, so Jeff and I decided to grill out and invite the Oplotniks to come over and roast s'mores with us. It was so much fun and watching the kids eat s'mores for the 1st was pretty neat!

Sadie's 1st day of Preschool

Sadie waws supposed to start Preschool on Febuary 1, but since school was closed for a week and then she had the flu, she didn't get to start until February 10. The day she went was also her Valentine's party, but I didn't know until I dropped her off at school. I felt so awful, but her and the other kids didn't know any different. That moring we got up, had a great breakfast and hurried to get her ready for her 1st BIG day. Daddy went with us to drop her off. SHe was ready to go with her Rapunzel nappy nap (nap mat), her Tinkerbell pack pack (backpack), and her princess lunch box (All which she picked out herself!!!). There were no tears shed when we dropped her off! She loved it and loved her teacher!!! There are only 3 other children in her class, 1 girl and 2 boys. When I picked her up the teacher said she did great, but didn't eat much. I think she was so excited! She also sadi that Sadie is a "talker"! HAHA... yes, yes she is!She said she is very curious and asks lots of questions. She is so excited to go back! Oh, and on our way home she told me that her teacher had to throw away her blueberries because she kept throwing them on the ground. I love that at 2 1/2 years old, she will tell on herself!!! I just love her so stinkin' much!

Stock Shows

I guess its that time of year... Stock Show Season! A few weeks ago, Brown County had their Youth Show. Jeff, the kids and I went out one day to let Sadie and Tripp see all the animals. And of course, Sadie is still in love with GOATS! She liked the rabbits too, but nothing beat the goats! I see a couple goats in our future!!! Tripp likes all the animals!!! That Saturday night, we took the kids to the Sale. Farm Bureau was buying a few animals and crafts so we wanted to be there to see. It was really great seeing all the kids take pride in what they had done! The next day we drove up to Fort Worth and took the kids to the Fort Worth Stock Show. I've been every year for several years now and just love it. We took Sadie and 7 months, but missed last year since Tripp was only a month old. This year was great! The weather wasn't too bad and the kids got to see tons more animals. At one point Sadie said she wanted a horse... haha! I said, "would you rather have a horse or a goat?" She said "GOAT!" Good thing, they are cheaper!!! Afterwards we went across the street to the Science Museum. They just re did it and it is AMAZING! They have a kids half that is so fun. There was arts and crafts, and toddler size grocery store, and a toddler size baby hospital. There was even an outdoor water area, but it wasn't warm enough for that. I see a lot more trips in the future!!!

Happy New Years!!!

I know I'm late! For New Year's Weekend, we went to Pleasanton and spent a great weekend with the Hurst family! We always have such a great time with them! Paxton grilled Friday night (so yummy!). Then Saturday we took all the kids to San Antonio's Incredible Pizza Co. I really liked this place, great prices, plus the play area had a toddler specific area where the kids could play. Tripp LOVED all the games that moved, Sadie was a little apprehensive... but she sure loved raking in all the tickets! Then that night we had a traditional blackeyed peas and cabbage dinner. I could've eaten so much, it I hadn't got sick... which also made for a lovely ride home :(

Chirstmas 2010

Christmas Eve night Sadie and I made cookies for Santa and sausage balls for our breakfast the next morning. We all had a yummy dinner of manicotti & salad and then got dressed for bed. The kids watched Elmo's Christmas Countdown and then Jeff read them the 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. Then we laid Christmas cookies and milk our for Santa and put the kids to sleep. Afterwards, Jeff and I laid on the couch and watched movies before heading to bed.
Christmas morning we woke up and got the kids up... Sadie was ready to see what Santa brought, but Tripp demanded his milk first! I loved the look on their faces when they walked around the corner and saw all the presents and stockings. It was priceless! We opened presents and then ate a yummy breakfast, homemade bisquits and sausage gravy! Then it was off to celebrate with Jeff's cousins in Stephenville. Santa stopped by and I could kick myself becuase I forgot my camera!!! The kids had a great time, but Tripp was ready for a NAP! We headed to Nana's house in Hico and met Auny Mandy, Uncle John, cousins Jonah, Hannah, and Josiah, and Aunt Krysta there. They all had a BLAST opening presents and playing with each other. Grandpa Norris and Grammy came by and we had a delicious dinner!!!
The next morning we headed to Keller to celebrate with Mimi, Poppy, Chicher, Uncle Steve, Leandra and Patrick. We had a great brunch and then opened more presents... I think the kids were quite spoiled this year! Around nap time, Jeff and I snuck off to see and movie and enjoy a hot chocolate in the GORGEOUS Southlake Towncenter! It is so pretty there!
It really was a wonderful Christmas and I'm so happy we got to spend it with all the people we love!
