My little princess is 3!

Sadie is 3 years old tomorrow! I can't even imagine my life without her! I remember when we were hoping for a baby so badly, and then the moment I found out I was pregnant with her, and the moment I first laid my eyes upon her! I have so many memories already, in these 3 short years. I enjoy her little personality and watching her learn, watching her become who she will be and watching her interact with her brother. I am so blessed to be this sweet, strong, independent little girls mother! Happy birthday big girl!

My baby boy is 18 months old!

Last week, Tripp turned 18 months old. It seems like forever and a day since he was born, but at the same time feels like just yesterday! You know what I mean? Oh, his little personality. He knows he's cute and knows the little looks to give you to make your heart melt. He looks just like his daddy and has a huge personality like Daddy too! He is a wild man and thinks he's as big and capable as Sadie. Every morning when he wakes up he wants Sadie and his milk... in that order! His vocabulary has grown leaps and bounds and it seems like everyday he's learning more and more! Recently he has also learned how "fun" it is to throw a tantrum when you don't get your way! SO fun! He definitely knows what he wants! His favorite toys are ANY kind of blocks, stuffed animals, and little people! You can tell him, "Buba, go build me a tower!" And OFF HE RUNS to get the blocks! Tripp has also started to enjoy helping clean toys up and when he's done he's quite proud of himself!

It is so much fun watching this little guy grown and wonder who he will become! So glad I get a front row seat!!!

Fun summer day

Yesterday we were supposed to have a playdate at our house, but Sadie has had a nasty cough, runny nose, and the start of pink eye (we caught it in time that it never got too bad). So obviously the play date was moved and we were home bound, except for a run to the grocery store. I promised the kids if they took great naps we would play in the water outside after naps. They held up there end, so after naps I set up the sprinkler and we had frozen yogurt pop. They enjoyed the yogurt more than anything. Sadie liked playing in the sprinkler, but Tripp wasn't a fan. He likes to be in the water, but doesn't like the whole spraying/splashing thing. Anyways, after that we cleaned up and had boiled shrimp for dinner (one of my favorite summer foods)! It turned out to be a pretty good day!

Sadie's 3 year pictures!

I am so blessed that one of my dearest friends, Tawny, is also a photographer! She did Sadie's 3 year pictures and her birthday invites! Love how they turned out!!!

Oh my... where has the time gone!?

Wow... its been 2 months, and you all have missed so much!

Basically, the entire month of April we were all sick. It seriously went from one person in the house to the next and then started something new all over again! We did have a few handfull of days where we were all healthy and we went camping in our new travel trailer. We went to Bandera and stayed on the river. The kids loved going down to the river and throwing rocks. Everytime she sees rocks now she asks if she can throw them.

We were able to also fit in a trip to see the Gregorys and visit Sea World!!!

We also had a great month of celebrating Easter. We first went to the Hurst house and enjoyed burgers, an easter egg hunt, and a great time with great friends. Then we had an easter egg hunt at Sadie's school and finally wrapped it up with an an egg hunt on Easter at our house. We hosted our family and a few friends this year. It was a lot of fun!
May started off with another camping trip. This time Glen Rose for Mother's Day. We took the kids to see the dinosaur museum, Dinosaur Valley State Park, and Granbury for some shopping on the square and Babes for Dinner. We've also had some trips to visit Jeff's grandpa and Annastatia and swim in their pool! The kids love going to grandpa and grammy's house!!!

The next weekend our church hosted a Women's Tea... it so much fun preparing for it and seeing everyone dressed up in their dresses and hats. We had a great time.

And 2 days later we put our house on the market... hahaha!!! We bought the house as an investment and decided, lets see if we can get what we want for it and we had our eye on something we wanted!! 2 weeks later, we had a contract on both houses and in July we should be moving!!! We keep saying, this is our LAST move! Its getting a bit ridiculous... but hey, we never claimed to be any different ;)

June has already started to turn out to be a FULL month! Filled with playdates, trips, summer fun, and lots of celebrations. This month it is my mother's birthday, my birtday, Sadie's birthday, and our anniversary!!! The kids an I went up Friday to celebrate my mom's birthday, which was Sunday. We had a great dinner out at Cheesecake Factory and then walked around Southlake Town Center. Then Jeff came up Saturday for a client. We took the kids and met the Hurst for dinner and ice cream. I just love that they live so close to my mom now! Sunday we took the kids to swim with my sister, her husband and kids. The kids loved it!!! Then we had lunch at Jason's Deli to finish off the weekend! What a great time!

Fun outside

I just love when spring time rolls around and we can start enjoying the outside! Here are a few pictures of the kids playing in our back yard.

A Sunday Visit

Last Sunday we took the kids over to visit Nana and show them a surprise Nana got them. A PLAYHOUSE! Sadie keeps talking about it! I'm bummed I didn't get a picture of them playing in it. Then we all drove out to Grandpa Norris and Grammy's house. We hadn't seen them in awhile. Sadie has finally warmed up to Grandpa Norris and Tripp just loves him. And of course, Sadie is still a huge fan of Grammy!!! We had a great time visiting with them and enjoying a Sunday with family!
